Industry introduction
Eddy current testing is a method to detect surface and near-surface defects of metal materials by using the principle of electromagnetic induction. The basic principle is to use the exciting coil to induce the eddy current of the metal material, and use the receiving coil to measure the change of the eddy current, so as to determine whether the metal material has defects, which is a widely used conventional nondestructive testing technology.
Compared with other conventional nondestructive testing methods, eddy current testing has the advantages of convenient implementation, no coupling or auxiliary agent, fast detection speed, high sensitivity to surface and near-surface defects, and no pollution discharge, etc., and has been applied in rail quality testing at home and abroad.
The complete set of automatic eddy current inspection equipment developed by Cangxin Company has been successfully applied to the heavy rail production line of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group with good results.
Application case: Steel rail beam
Rail transit is of great significance to the development of national economy. While improving the capacity of rail transit and speeding up the running speed, the safety of rail transit must be guaranteed, and advanced technology must be adopted to carry out efficient and reliable non-destructive testing of rail beams to prevent problems before they happen.
