The low-energy X-ray machine used in industrial radiographic inspection is simply composed of four parts: a ray generator (X-ray tube), a high-pressure generator, a cooling system, and a control system. According to the structure of the X-ray machine, the X-ray machine is divided into three categories, portable, mobile and fixed X-ray machines. The core device of X-ray machine is X-ray tube, which is mainly composed of anode, cathode and tube shell. The anode is where X-rays are produced. It is mainly composed of anode body, anode target and anode cover. The anode body is a metal electrode with high temperature conductivity, and the typical anode body is made of oxygen-free copper. Its function is to withstand the impact of high voltage electrons, producing X-rays. The anode shield is used to absorb the secondary electrons produced when the high-speed electrons hit the anode target. The high voltage generator is composed of high voltage transformer, high voltage rectifier tube, filament transformer and high voltage rectifier circuit. The high voltage rectifier circuit has many forms, some typical circuits are half wave self-rectifier circuit, full wave rectifier circuit, constant voltage rectifier circuit.
As for the cooling system, the cooling methods used by X-ray are roughly divided into three types: oil cycle cooling, water cycle cooling, and radiation cooling.

The structure of radiographic film is divided into protective layer, photographic emulsion layer, binding layer and film base. The main components of the photographic emulsion layer are very fine particles of silver halide photographic material and gelatin, in addition to other components.
